Thank you for your support of past Hawk Hikes, the longest annual fundraiser in Hawk history! Please support us again this year.
Hawk Hike 2021-2022
Dear Hornsby Families and Friends,
The Hawk Hike is a fun and efficient way for our PTSA to raise money. We want our students to get out and exercise, dance, and enjoy the fresh air. Our goal for the Hawk Hike is not only to raise funds for our school, but also to promote physical wellness and boost school spirit. We stretched and asked for pledges for the Annual Hawk Hike, our one-mile run/walk.
Students in each grade level participated in our Hawk Hike during their Related Arts time on November 19th. Our goal this year was to raise $5,000. Every dollar raised by the PTSA benefits students and staff through various programs, the largest one being Teacher Mini-Grants.
Students are encouraged to ask friends and family to sponsor them for the Hawk Hike. Friends and family member pledges can be made by cash or check (make checks payable to “Hornsby PTSA”). To donate online, just visit the Hornsby PTSA website www.hornsbyptsa.org where we have established a secure PayPal account, which will allow us to collect money and track it to the appropriate student. Please make sure to indicate student name and homeroom teacher (if known). Every pledge is vital to the success of this fundraiser and no pledge is too small.
* Participation Prizes – Every student who brings in at least a $1 in pledges/donations will receive a Hornsby water bottle sticker *
* All Students who collect at least $25 in pledges will get free a Menchies Frozen Yogurt at a special lunch event outside at Hornsby in early December.*
* Grade Level Prizes – Highest pledge/donation totals by homeroom in each grade wins a donuts and hot cocoa party!*
To be included in the prizes, all pledges due no later than Friday, November 19th
